Ladybug Headband Crochet Pattern

Materials

• 100% cotton yarn
• Yarn colors:
  • Red
  • Black
• Crochet hook 2.5 mm
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Optional:
  • Hair clip
  • Fabric headband
  • Fabric glue

Abbreviations (US Terms)

• sc = single crochet
• inc = increase (2 sc in the same stitch)

Ladybug Body (Red)

Round 1: Magic ring with 6 sc (6)

Round 2: Inc in each stitch around (12)

Round 3: (sc in next stitch, inc) repeat 6 times (18)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly

• Sew the black head to the front of the body.
• Using black yarn, embroider the ladybug spots on the red body as desired.
• Attach the finished ladybug to a fabric headband, glue it onto a metal hair clip, or sew it onto clothing, bags, hats, blankets, or any crochet project as a decorative appliqué.
• Weave in all yarn ends securely.
